For products that come in options, like sizes or colours, Fix Studio drafts short FAQs that answer what shoppers ask about them. Every answer comes from your own product data and policies.
Which products get FAQs
Products with an option that has at least two values, like two sizes or three colours. Idex drafts up to five questions for each, and only includes a question when your data answers it:
- sizes, colours and other options, from the product’s variants,
- material, waterproofing or care, when the product’s own data says so,
- fit, when a width or fit option has a wide size,
- returns, from your refund policy, when it states how many days customers have,
- shipping, from your shipping policy, when it mentions free shipping or how soon orders ship.
Review and edit
FAQs have their own tab in Fix Studio. Before you approve, you can edit any question or answer: keep questions under 150 characters and answers under 1,000. Clearing a question or its answer removes it. You can’t add new questions to a product’s FAQs.
Where FAQs are saved
When you approve, Idex saves each question and answer as a Product FAQ entry in Shopify and links them from the product’s FAQs field. You can see and edit them in your Shopify admin.
Showing FAQs on your store
Idex doesn’t change your theme, so FAQs don’t appear on your product pages by themselves. They’re saved with storefront access, so a theme developer can add them to your product page template.
Product FAQs don’t count toward the audit ’s FAQ page published check, which looks for an FAQ page on your store.
Undo
Undoing an FAQ fix removes the FAQs Idex added to that product, and Idex doesn’t draft them for it again.
