IdexAI Visibility shows what AI assistants answer when asked your buyer questions, and whether the answers mention your store. Idex asks ChatGPT on every plan and Gemini on Starter and above.
When checks run
- Idex asks your questions every Monday (UTC) on Starter, Growth and Scale, and on the first Monday of each month on Free.
- Your first check is on the Monday after your question list is created. Until then, the page shows its date.
- Answers come in over about an hour, and the page fills in as they do. You can leave it.
- On Scale, when your mention or position changes between a question’s last two answers, that assistant is asked again the next day.
The date of the next check is at the top of AI Visibility, and in the status line on Home.
Reading the table

How Idex decides you’re mentioned
An answer mentions you when any of these is true:
- it links to your store or names your domain,
- the assistant lists your store among the brands in its answer,
- it names your store, as long as the name can’t be mistaken for everyday words (two or more words, or one uncommon word).
Product names on their own don’t count. Your position is 1 plus the number of other brands named before you.

- Other brands named, or Brands named instead when you’re not mentioned, and which assistants named them.
- Your pages cited: the links to your store in the answers.
- Why you’re missing or What could move you up: open fixes in Fix Studio for the products the question is about, with a button to fix them.
Mention rate and other numbers
- Mention rate: the share of checked questions where at least one assistant mentions you, with the change since the previous check. The brand questions Idex suggests are left out.
- Average position when mentioned: 1 means named first.
- Your pages cited: how many links to your store the answers included.
Answers are shared between stores
When stores ask the same question in the same market in the same week, Idex asks it once and they share the answer. Each store is then checked against that answer for its own name and domain.
Answer budget
Each plan has a monthly budget for asking questions, and Idex never spends past it. If it runs out, the remaining questions show n/a and are asked at the next check after the budget resets at the start of the month (UTC).
